About

Georbia (Georgia Mason) is a London based visual artist  working across photography, videography, installation and painting. Her practice hones in on ideas around how women are portrayed, spoken about and made to feel both online and offline, drawing from internet culture, misogyny and themes of sex and intimacy.

Focusing on the use of thermal and surveillance imagery, she distorts ideas of the male gaze encouraging the viewer to question their ways of seeing. Often playing with interaction, she invites the viewer in to her space playing with ideas of control, complicity and desire.

Alongside her practice, she also experiments with fashion and event photography, showing focus on light and color with an instinctive approach.

Currently completing a BA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London.
